About Us
KBA Direct was established in 1998 and specialises in contract based kitchens. Many of the developers and architects who we work with do so because our company’s philosophy is based upon promoting a pro-active client driven service. This core value has proved fundamental in maintaining long term relationships and has been of benefit in securing new clients through recommendations. A diverse client base requires our designers to implement a multitude of technical briefs in order to successfully deliver projects. The requirements for each project are different and in many cases require specifically source products to meet evolving design and budget parameters. KBA’s offices are located near Watford, positioned between the M1 and M25 providing good logistical access. Central London developments account for the majority of our business although we have also undertaken international projects such as the the Bahamas.

Our business is not just about kitchens
Kitchens
Kitchens remain the basis of the business and has fuelled our growth into other areas. Standard kitchen furniture still accounts for the majority of our work but bespoke kitchens are becoming increasingly important for recommendations in this competitive sector where product quality and service is key and budgets reflect this consideration. All our carcases are made to order and come in a choice of 106 finishes.
Bedrooms
Bedroom furniture remains one of the last thought about areas of a property but this is now changing. Increasingly developers are placing an emphasis on creating a feeling of luxury throughout a development and built-in bedroom furniture has proved to be of assistance in creating this ambiance. Our bedroom furniture offering spans standard product to bespoke made and is budget dependant.
Appliances
Appliances remain one of the most important elements within a kitchen and the choice of manufacturer is fundamental in order to ensure that “function” meets “requirements”. We have therefore chosen to focus on well known, high quality brands who offer a wide variety of appliances incorporating the latest technology. Our primary brands are Neff, Siemens, Bosch and Miele, supplemented by speciality manufacturers.
Bespoke furniture
The success of our bespoke kitchen operation has led KBA into the home and commercial furniture sector. The bespoke nature of our products allows us to undertake works in other areas of the home such as offices, games rooms, cinemas, television and display areas. We also undertake commercial projects and are responsible for supplying and installing the bar and cafe area at the Barbican in London.
Stone surfaces
Quality is of key importance for all clients and our role to assist in maximising quality against cost is a consideration when identifying suppliers. For this reason we became an Elite partner with Silestone who are a world leader in the manufacturer of quartz surfaces. We also maintain access to other suppliers and can provide natural stone products such as granite and marble to meet a client’s requirement.
International project
Many of our clients have international property portfolios and occasionally a requirement for UK sourced kitchens occur. We have undertaken a number of these projects, the largest being 9 kitchens/bathrooms on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. KBA arranged the export of all kitchen/bathroom furniture and granite worktops. Project management and installation teams were also sent from the UK to complete the project.
